For some reason, we didn't get to see any singleplayer from Gears 5 during E3, and all the focus so far has been on multiplayer. But this doesn't mean The Coalition doesn't have confidence in the campaign. Far from it, in fact. In an interview with Game Informer, the multiplayer design director Ryan Cleven, had the following to say:
"Gears 5 is the largest Gears of War to date; it's the largest campaign ever made, the largest PvE ever made, the largest versus ever made. The team at The Coalition is an extremely talented but focused team that believes in this game. They're extremely passionate about bringing their mark, a high degree of quality, and a legacy that Gears fans will recognize. There is no magic bullet; it's trusting the people around you."
Basically, it seems to be the largest Gears of War game yet, no matter point of view. So what about the entertainment value then? Well, that you can check out yourself as the Gears 5 versus multiplayer technical test starts today.
