If you're a fan of the Assassin's Creed games, you probably know what the animus looks like. It doesn't move that much, nor is it particularly fun, but the upcoming film starring Michael Fassbender seems to have taken the animus in other directions, as shown in more detail in the latest trailer.
After Marion Cotillard's character explains what Fassbender will see when entering the historical simulation, the animus, which appears to be a giant arm that grabs him by the waist, attaching to his back, picks him up and slams him back down, sort of like a portal.
