We've been at the Hearthstone Championship Tour (HCT) World Championship in Amsterdam this past weekend to watch 16 of the best players in the world face off against one another for a shot at the biggest share of the $1 million USD prize pool, and yesterday saw tom60229 lift the trophy after four intense days of competition.

Fr0zen started the semifinals off by playing JasonZhou, who claimed the first point against him, and in fact the whole series was a tense back and forth, with Fr0zen eventually claiming a 3-2 victory for himself. Elsewhere, tom60229 faced Surrender (who topped Group D), who had a slightly more convincing 3-1 win, setting himself up for a grand final against Fr0zen.

In this thrilling final Fr0zen got off to a great start, claiming the first point and then a second to put himself on match point with the title in sight, but tom60229 kept the crowd entertained to reverse sweep (three points in a row) his competitor and secure the title for himself, topping off what was a consistently impressive display throughout the tournament.

Who did you think would win?
