Another year of League of Legends esports have now concluded. Following yesterday's world final, which was held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in South Korea, we now have a victor to report on.
Following stumbling at the final hurdle and finishing second in last year's Worlds, T1 has managed to take the tournament and be crowned victor this year. This comes after the team defeated Weibo Gaming in a dominant 3-0 fashion in the world final, securing its place as the latest world champion, something it hasn't been known as since 2017.
This victory has seen T1 heading home with $445,000 in prize money, while Weibo was awarded $333,750 for their second-placing efforts.
While we're waiting for more information in regard to the 2024 season, we do know that the World Championships for 2024 will be held in London.
