System Shock 2 coming to GOG

The classic PC game System Shock 2 has long been a fan favourite, and it has been frustrating that rights issue have kept the game from being released digitally. However, tomorrow, the game will hit GOG.com (Good Old Games) and later a Steam release is in the pipeline.

It was unknown developers Night Dive who pitched the idea to the right holders and tomorrow the game will arrive on GOG.com (Steam version coming alter).

System Shock 2 is often mentioned in lists with the best games of all time, and often compared to equally legendary Deus Ex. Ken Levine, who worked on System Shock 2, later went on to create Bioshock - that at first was talked about as a spiritual successor to System Shock.
