Swords & Soldiers 2 heads to PC and PS4

Ronimo Games announced Swords & Soldiers II: Shawarmageddon, a new take on the 2015 Wii U exclusive for PS4 and PC. This side-scrolling strategy game used the Wii U gamepad for a unique two-screens local multiplayer. This feature has now been removed, but the new version introduces online multiplayer and leaderboards. Also, while waiting for matchmaking, players can play skirmish or mini-games and resume these after the battle.

Shawarmageddon does not alter the gameplay, but expands the content with more skirmish maps and improvements to the campaign. There will also be improved graphics, and for the first time, the sequel gets full HD resolution. That is the base, but Ronimo would love to expand it more with bonus content, so they just started a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter: " The main goal of this campaign is to work with our community to bring that content back to the game - it's something for the fans, made possible by the fans!".

With or without that money, Swords & Soldiers II: Shawarmageddon launches in September 2018 for PC and PS4. To celebrate this announcement, Ronimo is giving away the original Swords & Soldiers HD on Steam, your's to keep forever. Just head over to Steam and grab your copy.
