Stoic finally gets The Banner Saga trademark
It's been a long road for the studio, but the name is finally theirs.
As confirmed in a Tweet by Stoic Studio, the independent developer finally has managed to trademark the name of their game, The Banner Saga. If you're unaware of the dispute with King, you can read all the details here, but essentially the Candy Crush Saga developer challenged Stoic's right to trademark their name. Well, this no longer seems to be the case, and the studio has now successfully bagged the name, which is good news considering that a sequel is in the works.
