Stellaris has a free weekend to celebrate third birthday
Paradox's space game released back in 2016, and they're letting players try it out for no cost on Steam until May 12.
Paradox Interactive has revealed that they're celebrating the three-year anniversary of Stellaris by running a free weekend for the game on Steam, active right now and lasting until May 12. This gives fans a chance to try the space strategy game for themselves, which has been bolstered with added content ever since launch.
"It feels like just yesterday we were launching Stellaris, unsure of how people would take to it, but now it has its own thriving community and is celebrating its third anniversary," said Daniel Moregård, Game Director for Stellaris. "It's an occasion we'd like to celebrate with the amazing community who filled the galaxy of Stellaris with their stories. We hope players new and old can enjoy this Free Weekend to the fullest!"
The game itself rewards exploration as you discover the secrets of the world around you, including various alien races and the stories they hold. If you still need a better idea of the game before trying it out, check out the new trailer below.
