The Daybreak Pack is coming to State of Decay 2 on September 12, and while we've been at Gamescom this week we got the chance to talk to marketing manager Brandon Wells to hear what this pack entails, and what we'll be doing when it lands next month.
"This is a new siege mode where you and up to four of your friends will have to fight off hordes of zombies that will be coming in different waves to defend your position," he explained. "You have walls you need to fortify, zombies you need to kill, and you have to protect this technician who's trying to repair a satellite relay, and as the waves go on it gets harder and harder and more challenging."
"I think this really gives it a different co-op experience. State of Decay 2 is all about survival, it's asking the question 'how will you survive?' This puts it in a situation where you're an expanded military character, you have a lot more weapons and a lot more fun toys that you get to play with, and you and your friends will just get to team up and just really power through it and see if you can survive."
Does this sound like a welcome departure from the usual business in State of Decay 2?
