State of Decay 2

State of Decay 2 scores two million survivors in two weeks

Zombie survival sim gets a chunky update too.

In the two weeks following its launch on May 22, Undead Labs' State of Decay 2 has attracted more than two million players to its servers. Impressive numbers for sure, although a portion of those will have come via the title's inclusion in the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.

It's a success whichever way you look at it, and as Aaron Greenberg detailed in a post over on Xbox Wire, the healthy player count has given the community enough firepower to take out around two billion zombies. That's a lot of aiming for the head.

There's also the small matter of the 20 GB (!) patch for the game which landed a couple of days ago, which brings with it a number of gameplay tweaks and quality of life improvements (full patch notes can be found here).

If you'd like to know more about the game then why not head this way and check out our review.
