Kabam, Lucasfilm and Disney Interactive today announced the launch of Star Wars: Uprising, a mobile RPG available on iOS and Android. Players will visit the new Anoat Sector, where they can "band together with smugglers, freedom fighters, bounty hunters and gangsters to rise up against the Empire as it tries to maintain control of the galaxy."

The game will feature a plot that bridges the gap between Return of the Jedi and the new film, The Force Awakens, right after the death of Darth Vader and the Emperor. Players will also be able to create their own heroes and play cooperatively with others. Star Wars: Uprising is free-to-play, so you can expect some sort of in-game microtransactions.

You can watch the launch trailer below and get the game directly from the App Store or Google Play.
