Star Wars Battlefront's future expansions detailed
Chewbacca confirmed, and the fourth expansion is called Rogue One: Scarif.
Last Thursday DICE revealed that Star Wars Battlefront's Death Star expansion will launch in September, and that it'll include a "larger-than-life character" that fans have requested for a long time. Obviously we speculated that they were talking about Chewbacca, and today it was confirmed.
During today's Star Wars Celebration EA revealed that the expansion will include two playable characters, the Trandoshan bounty hunter Bossk and our hairy friend. As usual, the expansion will also include new maps with multi-stage gameplay, weapons and Star Cards, but they'll talk about those closer to release. For now we'll have to do with the teaser trailer at the bottom.
They also revealed what the fourth, up till now unnamed, expansion will be. As expected it's tied to the upcoming Rogue One movie, and is called Rogue One: Scarif. Jyn Erso, Rogue One's protagonist, played by Felicity Jones, and Director Krennic, played by Ben Mendolsohn, will both be playable characters. The only other detail they want to reveal right now is that it'll be, as the title suggests, set on the tropical planet Scarif.
