Cryptic Studios has announced that Star Trek Online, a MMORPG based on the Star Trek universe, is heading to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game was originally released for PC in 2010, and is only now heading to consoles. In addition to including all the current content (which is a lot, considering six years of updates), Star Trek Online will also feature an enhanced graphics engine.
Players will have the chance to create a member of the Federation, or play as Klingon or Romulan, choosing from 32 different species. Star Trek fans will have the chance to visit many famous places from the saga, like Vulcan, Deep Space Nine, and Earth Space Dock. It was also confirmed that Star Trek Online will use a free-to-play model on consoles.
Star Trek Online arrives on PS4 and Xbox One this autumn, and below you can watch the first trailer for the console version.
