Standalone expansion Subnautica: Below Zero announced

Developer Unknown Worlds has announced Subnautica: Below Zero, a standalone expansion to Subnautica. In Below Zero players will discover an ice cold region of Planet 4546B, after the events of the original game.

Subnautica: Below Zero will be released first, in the coming months, on Steam Early Access, after which the developer will add updates and use player feedback to improve the game. Another team is also bringing the standalone expansion to Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Alongside the base building and exploring Below Zero will introduce new elements, such as thermal management and voiced dialogue for the plot. Check out the first concept art below.
