Square Enix stocks pummel

The announcement that Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes Online is to be a MMORPG that will launch exclusively on Wii and Wii U did not go down well with the Japanese market as Square Enix stocks fell ten per cent after the reveal. After having failed miserably with Final Fantasy XIV the market is understandably wary of the move, and paired with the decision to launch exclusively on Nintendo platforms, infamous for their lack of proper online support, may be at the core of the concern shown.
