Some time ago the director of Final Fantasy XV, Hajime Tabata, hinted that Square Enix was looking into the possibility of bringing Final Fantasy XV to Nintendo Switch. Now it seems as though they are indeed aiming to bring the full FFXV experience to Nintendo's hybrid console, even if the process has seemingly been far from smooth.
During Tokyo Game Show Hajime Tabata told Eurogamer that they're "actually doing very specific technical investigations into what's possible at the moment. Where we are at the moment - we've completed those tests and have worked out where the ground lies. We're currently in the middle of the discussion and debate about what we should be doing, and how to realise that on the Switch."
Tabata also revealed that for now there can be no official announcements because discussions are ongoing and no final decision has been made. He also revealed that he is still unable to get a Switch for himself in Japan, this because Nintendo's new console has been so popular there.
