As you may or may not know the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII featured inferior graphics when compared to its Playstation 3 counterpart. The game featured a lower resolution and the cutscenes where heavily compressed. The UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) have now cautioned Square-Enix as they have been found to use PS3 visuals in ads that specifically promote the Xbox 360 version.

As the game has been out for quite a while we don't expect the ruling to have much practical effect, but hopefully it will teach Square Enix a lesson for the future. However, to be fair this infringement must be seen as rather minor, when compared to the way Activision used to advertise Call of Duty titles with CG imagery that wasn't even part of the game.
