Nobody can be sure exactly what the big publishers will bring to the grand stage that is E3, but we can at least expect to see some sort of Japanese presence during Microsoft's press conference in LA next month.

The news comes from Xbox chief Phil Spencer himself, who spent some time on a recent flight answering fan questions about the company's upcoming plans. The whole chain of tweets can be read in full here, but the main take-home is that Microsoft has plans to feature at least one JRPG during its conference. On top of that, Spencer also hinted that the company would like to bring Yakuza to Xbox.

With regards to the JRPG, one fan asked whether there'd be any on stage next month in LA, to which Spencer replied: "As of now, yes. Things can change but like last year I wanted to make sure we supported our Japanese publishers on our stage and this year we are working to do the same. It's important to us."

Later in the same thread the man from Microsoft hinted that one day he'd like to see Yakuza make its way over to Xbox: Here's what he said when asked whether he'd ever thought about working with Sega to bring the crime series to Xbox: "Yep, Sega has a lot of good franchises that would be cool to see come over."

There you have it, a couple of interesting teases, but nothing concrete. Microsoft's E3 press event is scheduled to take place on June 10 (at 9pm BST / 10pm CEST), at which point we'll find out more about what the company has planned for JRPG fans.
