Soul Calibur VI is building more and more hype, and now we've received a trailer showing us more about the story mode of the game, called Libra of Soul, including character creation and online gameplay. What's more is we've also been shown the first DLC character, Tira, as if the first trailer wasn't enough.

Libra of Soul is actually the second story mode that's been included in the game, after the already-revealed Chronicle of Souls, but here you can create your own custom fighter to explore the world with as you gather Soul Edge shards to stop an evil force, encountering characters from the community and the main storyline as you go. As for customisation, this includes body type, hair, armour, weapons, accessories, and much more.

The online mode was also shown off at Gamescom, and as you'd expect this allows you to fight against others using your custom character in either casual or ranked matches, depending on how much of a warrior you are.

Last but not least we also saw the first DLC character called Tira, who can use a Ring Blade called Eiserne Drossell to deal out damage as part of her Dance of Death. "Trained by the mysterious Birds of Passage, a group of assassins, Tira abandoned the group after its leader went mad. Alone and angry, Tira, travels across the world slaughtering any that get in her way, taking great pleasure in the trail of blood in her wake," the press release explains.

We can see all of this in action on October 19 when the game launches on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but for now take a look at both trailers below. Will you be creating your custom warrior in October?

"For newcomers it's a great opportunity to dip a toe in this legendary fighting series, and for older fans, it feels like a warm and lovely welcome back."
