Sony unveils limited edition PS5 inspired by Wolverine

Logan will have his own console (and controller!) in time for the September release of Marvel's Wolverine.

On Monday, images were leaked revealing that Nintendo plans to launch both a Switch 2 and a Zelda-themed Pro controller to celebrate the series' 40th anniversary and to mark the release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake.

But Nintendo isn't the only console manufacturer with a major exclusive title this autumn; Sony has Marvel's Wolverine coming out, and they don't intend to be outdone. They've therefore announced a yellow PlayStation 5 console with clear signs that Logan has gone wild on the shell (which, however, seems durable, as it never got any worse than scratches, despite his adamantium claws).

The console also comes with a matching controller, which can, of course, be purchased separately. If you already own a PS5 but want it Wolvie-style, Sony will also be selling the Wolverine covers separately, and is even offering a more discreet version for those of you who, while loving what is perhaps Marvel's fiercest superhero, feel that loud yellow plastic doesn't belong in your living room.

Check out this beauty below in both photos and video. Pre-orders start on August 19, and the game launches on September 15.

We might get even more themed hardware this fall as Xbox is rumored to have plans for Gears of War: E-Day as well.
