Sony's UK chief, Fergal Gara, thinks that the life cycle of PlayStation 4 may end up being shorter than that of PlayStation 3, in certain territories at least.
The launch of PS3 took place seven years ago, and on the eve of the launch of its successor, it's speculated that the PS4 may have a shorter lifecycle than Sony's outgoing console.
"I think there's reason to believe that the next cycle might be shorter in markets such as the UK," Gara told Techradar in a recent interview.
"It's probably a sign of the times and how much has changed in seven years, but I think the willingness and the appetite to pick up new technology fast has probably changed quite a bit."
