We are now well into January, so it's time to look back at the last month of 2018 to see who the winners of the busy Christmas month were - at least on PlayStation Network. Yes, as always Sony has published a list of the most downloaded games on the platform for the month, and there are a few surprises on this one.

The list - which can be found on PlayStation Blog - is dominated by FIFA 19, which isn't exactly a shock, but PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has exploded into second place after releasing early in the month. That means that, even though PS4 owners have thoroughly embraced Fortnite, it would appear there's room for several battle royale games.

Furthermore, Battlefield V takes third place, edging out Red Dead Redemption 2 who had to settle for seventh place, which is surprising considering several reports that the game had disappointed digitally as well as physically.

You can see the full list below. Is PUBG the biggest shock on there?
