In collaboration with Capital One, Sony Rewards is introducing a Playstation Credit Card, as reported by the PlayStation Blog, with the initial idea being that when you apply and get accepted, you will get a $50 USD PS Store code after your first purchase.
By making purchases with your new card, you gather Sony rewards points, where 100 points is $1 in Sony Rewards, and you can redeem your earned points for "Playstation games, consoles, downloadable content, subscription services, Sony electronics, movies, music, experiences and more."
The PlayStation Credit Card seems to be available in the US at the moment, but it's likely that it will be made available in Europe as well. This is obviously one more indicator of how big of a market the digital downloads has become in recent years, so it makes sense for Europe to get it too.
Is this an idea you can get on board with?
