Sony compares MediEvil then and now

The remake is on the way this month, and we take a trip back in time to see what's changed since 1998.

The original MediEvil was released for the first Playstation back in 1998, and it was highly appreciated for its lovely design and smooth animations. As you surely know, a complete remake of the original game will be released on October 25 (facing fairly stiff competition from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and The Outer Worlds), and Sony seems to be pretty satisfied with the hard work from Digital Eclipse.

That's why they've released a rather special trailer of the game, where they compare the original to the 2019 remake. As you can see, everything we loved from MediEvil's style has been preserved and severely improved upon, just as it should be with a good remake.

We've also had a lesson on using the shield already as well, so we can prepare ourselves for the adventure landing in a couple of weeks.

REVIEW. Written by Roy Woodhouse

"It looks great, is packed with humour, and it's a nice nostalgic feeling to return to the classic all these years later."
