Those eagerly awaiting Sonic Mania may have been hoping to play it on PC when it launches tomorrow, but unfortunately that won't be the case, as a new livestream has revealed the PC release date is being pushed back to August 29.

The reason for the move is that the game needs more optimisation, however, as a way of compensation those who purchase the game on PC will get a copy of the first Sonic the Hedgehog, the classic platformer that inspired all of this in the first place.

The versions of Sonic Mania for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One are all still due out tomorrow, but if you really can't wait, you can always check out our hands-on impressions. Are you bothered by the delay?
