Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts hopes to deliver "the ultimate sniping experience"

Art director Rick Nath spoke about some of the key changes being implemented to really accentuate what sniping is.

It was only around a week before E3 started that we finally got the first trailer for the next title in the Sniper Ghost Warrior series. Named Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts and developed by CI Games, this one is set to step away from the direction the third took us in, moving back to a more enclosed sandbox system rather to the previous open-world gameplay.

To discuss these changes and provide an insight into what caused them, we interviewed Rick Nath, the art director of Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts.

"One of the first things we wanted to address was what exactly we wanted to deliver to the fans, which was the ultimate sniping experience. We wanted to deliver something that is complete and one of the issues we had with open-world was we had to spread out our resources, so what we've done is we've taken away the open-world and condensed it back to the sandbox style contract system. So, within that, you have a lot more freedom to play and have more opportunities in terms of the upgrades."

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts currently doesn't have a release date set, although it is supposed to come out in 2019 at some point. As for platforms, the title is slated to be released over PC, PS4 and Xbox One as stated in the teaser trailer.
