Project CARS developer Slightly Mad Studios' CEO Ian Bell took to Twitter to announce the company has plans for a powerful VR-capable console.
"What is the Mad Box? It's the most powerful console ever built... It's literally 'Mad'... You want 4k, you want VR at 60FPS? You want a full engine for free to develop your games on it? You have it."
For those wondering what the 60FPS is all about, Bell clarified it's 60FPS "per eye", which most people would describe as 120FPS. The new console, The Mad Box, is said to launch in about three years (via Variety), and Bell said it would be on par with a very powerful PC two years from now. The console will be a lot more open compared to what's on the market today and will, for instance, support both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
Do you think Slightly Mad has what it takes to compete with the likes of PlayStation 5 and "Xbox Two"?
