Skellboy was one of the many games featured during Nintendo's Indie World stream on Monday, and Umaiki Games' title is actually at Gamescom this week as well, so we took the opportunity to talk to Ben Miller from publisher Fabraz about the game, and what it brings to the table.

"So it's an action-RPG. You're starting at this single point in the castle and you're opening up and exploring as you go, but because you're a skeleton, you're kind of detachable as body parts, so you can actually - as you defeat enemies - swap out your body parts," he said.

"A big focus was making this a very engaging space to explore, taking a lot of cues from things like Dark Souls and Metroid, where you get really familiar and intimate with the space, and as you explore you start to open up pathways, connections, secret shortcuts."

In the full interview below Miller tells us about the narrative, the various examples of advantages that swapping out body parts bring, and more. What do you make of the art style though?
