Shortest Trip to Earth

Shortest Trip to Earth to leave Early Access this week

FTL-like space adventure is set to launch properly on August 15, and you can expect a post-release price hike.

If you're a big fan of FTL: Faster Than Light, there's a good chance that you're already well aware of Shortest Trip to Earth, a game which takes the basic formula that Subset Games absolutely nailed back in 2012 and then layers in new features for added depth and complexity.

We previewed the game back when it first landed on Steam Early Access (you can read our impressions right here) and enjoyed our first adventures in Interactive Fate's sci-fi universe, and soon it's going to be time to revisit the game because it's about to exit Early Access and launch fully on August 15, 2019.

While the devs have in the past confirmed that there will be a price hike after launch, we don't know how much the finished game will cost (it's currently £15.49 / 16,79€). What we do know is that it will launch with two new sectors, multiple endings, new ships, weapons and enemies, plus an improved tutorial and an easy mode.
