Shantae: Half-Genie Hero doubled its target

The Kickstarter campaign for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero finished this weekend and it managed a whopping $776,084 from 18,558 backers (target was $400,000). Add in the PayPal contributions and the campaign secured more than $800,000 in funding. Stretch goals such as Risky Boots Mode, two Bonus Chapters, and 3 additional costumes were reached and through the official website WayForward is still allowing for PayPal contributions that will count towards the next stretch goal ($900,000 - Hero Mode - allows you to replay the adventure with three additional characters each with their own story and moves).

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is coming to PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in October next year.
