Severed is now available on the Switch eShop

It has been out on other platforms since last year.

Drinkbox Studios' Severed originally came out on iOS, Nintendo 3DS, PS Vita, and Wii U at various points throughout 2016, but now the Nintendo of Europe Twitter has revealed that you can now buy the game on the Nintendo Switch eShop as well.

The official page for the game describes Severed as "a first-person dungeon crawler with unique touch controls for Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch. Wield the immense power of a living sword and slice through enemies in tactical battles to save your family from a grim fate."

Throughout your adventure you'll meet various monsters, and you have to swipe at these using different strokes of your sword on the touch screen. You have various abilities to bolster your attacks as well, and as you progress you can also build armour to protect you from the dangers that await.

You can get Severed right now on the eShop for £13.49, but if you're still not convinced as to whether it's for you, be sure to check out our review from last year. Is this your time to get Severed, if you missed it first time around?

REVIEW. Written by Bengt Lemne

"While Severed may not be the sort of game that's worth cutting off an arm or a leg over, it certainly scratched our dungeon delving itch in a new and rather unique way."
