Overwatch has received several big changes to the PTR (test servers on PC), and part of this involves removing Skirmish to replace it with While You Wait, a feature that lets you choose between Practice Range, Skirmish, Deathmatch, and Custom Game.
These are all optional and can be accessed either queueing on your own or as a group, although only the group leader can decide which mode you want to enjoy.
Perhaps the focal point of the patch, however, is the changes to tanks, as Orisa has had her base armour increased from 200 to 250, with her movement penalty being reduced from 30% to 20%. That said, her protective barrier health has plummeted from 900 to 600, although Fortify's cooldown has been decreased to 8 seconds from 10.
Sigma is affected as well, with the experimental barrier reduced from 1500 health to 900, and the barrier health regeneration rate is reduced from 150 to 120 health per second. Kinetic Grasp has also had its cooldown reduced to 10 seconds from 30, and the damage-to-shield gain ratio is increased from 40% to 60%.
Then comes Reinhardt, whose barrier field health is reduced from 2000 to 1600, with movement speed penalty reduced from 50% to 25%.
"The above changes to armor, Orisa, Sigma, and Reinhardt are aimed at decreasing the overall amount time players spend damaging barriers while improving the individual heroes in other areas. This is a significant change to the pace of the game and we'll be monitoring these heroes closely to ensure they retain impactful gameplay in the tank role," Blizzard writes.
