Sega Mega Drive Classics getting Steam Workshop support
Complete your virtual retro collection in new hub.
Sega are launching a new hub on Steam, which lets you play Mega Drive Classics in your library all in one place. Anyone who owns a Mega Drive game on Steam will get access to this new hub for free, and you can increase your virtual collection from there.
Accessing the hub takes you to the virtual bedroom of an early '90s SEGA fan. It features time-of-day conditions, retro SEGA merchandise, a shelf with all of the Mega Drive games in your Steam Library, and a CRT TV.
Perhaps the biggest part of this is that each of the games playable in this hub now have Steam Workshop integration, allowing you to install community made mods onto the classic games.
There is also now the ability to make save states for games, local co-op for games that allow it, new graphics options for some games, and full keyboard and controller support.
To celebrate the release of the new hub, SEGA are putting all of the games in the collection on offer, cutting them in price by 66%. The hub is set to release on April 28, and you can check out the trailer for it below.
