Rumour: The Witcher 3's surprise expansion setting takes us back towards Velen
We'll be venturing somewhere very close to the land of the Bloody Baron.
For a while now, we've heard of a potential expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which could apparently tie in with the story of the upcoming The Witcher 4. Initially, rumours pointed to the expansion taking place in Zerrikania, however a new bit of apparent insider info would have us travel to somewhere very close to one of the game's main settings.
As caught by Eurogamer, former Polish games journalist UV o grach said on YouTube that the expansion would be set somewhere very close to Velen, but not within the region itself. Again, there has been no official confirmation of this expansion, so it's best to take any potential information with a pinch of salt.
Still, with there being so many rumours popping up about a final bit of content for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, it's hard not to think that something is on the way. We'll only know for sure when CD Projekt Red is ready to reveal this expansion, though.
