It's one of these rumours that pops up every now and then, and one that will turn out to be true sooner or later. We're talking about slim versions of consoles, which has been a reality for each new format at least once, and that's across the last decade.

And here we go again. Go get some salt (the big bag) and read on. The source is Chinese (via Neogaf) and basically says that Microsoft will have a big hardware event in October where they will show stuff like new Lumia smartphones, Surface Pro 4 - but also Xbox One Mini.

It's supposedly only about 1/3 the size of the current version, but also quieter. According to the source, this has been made possible by dropping the Blu-ray drive. If the rumour is true, we'll have two versions of the Xbox One to choose between this Christmas, but until more proof shows up, don't hold your breath (or put down the bag of salt).
