Rumour: Metal Gear Survive needs constant internet connection

Metal Gear Survive may have received both a release date and new screenshots recently, but much of the game's content and structure is still unknown. A new rumour, however, suggests that the game will require an internet connection to play.

Several people on NeoGAF have linked to the game's official page, where it's clearly stated that "an internet connection is required to play the game." Is this a deal breaker for you, if proven true?
