Rocket League's Rumble update will be available today for free, Psyonix has announced, and the free new mode gives access to 11 randomised power-ups such as Magnetiser and Plunger.

Like Hoops and Mutator Rumble will be available in private and exhibition matches as well as appearing in online playlists too. The complete list of power-ups in Rumble includes:

The Boot (Kicks an opponent's car)
Disruptor (Forces the opponent to drive uncontrollably)
Freezer (Freezes the ball in-place)
Grappling Hook (Pulls you toward the ball)
Haymaker (Punches the ball)
Magnetizer (Attracts the ball to your car)
Plunger (Snaps the ball to your position)
Power Hitter (Hits everything harder)
Spike (Attaches the ball to your car when you bump into it)
Swapper (Changes positions on the field with your opponent)
Tornado (Sweeps up the ball and cars into a giant funnel cloud)

The Crates and Keys system is also introduced with this update and allow random Crates to drop into competitive matches and players can then purchase keys to access their contents. These provide random and exclusive items to be kept or traded and range from cars to decals and other accessories. This system will help fund upcoming esports event and prize pools. The keys can either be purchased individually or in bundles of 5, 10 or 20.

Today's update also sees the beta release of both the SteamOS and Mac versions of the game, as well as other improvements like Rocket Labs arena, variations of existing stadiums, ability to save more vehicles presets and many other features.
