Or... I sometimes get tired of zombie reels when they're not scary, or sloppy. When the zombies are only used as arbitrary "villains" because the filmmaker in question doesn't have the energy to write a real, motivated, story-based threat with personality - then I get tired. But never otherwise. Zombies are king. And the upcoming We Bury the Dead looks meaty. Post-apocalyptic super zombies as a side effect of a failed military experiment, to say the least. I like the trailer. Go!

Everyone should play Neon Inferno https://www.gamereactor.eu/blogs/Petter/444993/Everyone+should+play+Neon+Inferno/ https://www.gamereactor.eu/blogs/Petter/444993/Everyone+should+play+Neon+Inferno/

So cozy. So delicious. So good-sounding. The retro flirt Neon Inferno is a ferocious mix of Wild Guns and Contra with a small sip of Dick Tracy and Streets of Rage (and Metal Slug) thrown in during the mixing process - Which makes it one of the nicest surprises of the year for me. It was released this morning, I've played through it and my review can be found here: Go!

Project Motor Racing has arrived https://www.gamereactor.eu/blogs/Petter/444973/Project+Motor+Racing+has+arrived/ https://www.gamereactor.eu/blogs/Petter/444973/Project+Motor+Racing+has+arrived/

Thursday next week is the time. That will see the release of Straight 4 Studios ' long-awaited racing simulator that shares DNA with Project Cars 2, Need for Speed: Shift and GTR2, which are three games that I love. I'm usually a sucker for Ian Bell's simulators, although several of them have had to endure a lot of criticism and I've been looking forward to this for the past two years. The game has now arrived here and I'm installing it as we speak, to spend the coming week in a Lister Storm. I'll get back to you with some quick impressions and some Racing Dreams videos on Friday, first, and before that I'll be quiet - as I have told the publisher. The review will not appear until the release day on the 25th.

Leto plays Metalingus https://www.gamereactor.eu/blogs/Petter/444963/Leto+plays+Metalingus/ https://www.gamereactor.eu/blogs/Petter/444963/Leto+plays+Metalingus/

Fun-fun-fun... Drumeo's brilliant video series where they force big-name superstars to become battery members to interpret songs they have never heard before, continues to reign. Last out is the 30 Seconds old man Shannon Leto, who plays an Alter Bridge classic and despite a tentative start does a really, really good job. The most impressive thing about all these videos is when drummers are so skilled musicians that they feel the song so well that they put stops, pauses, bridges and everything in between in a way that quite often feels like cheating (even though we know it's not like that, They are just absolutely world class).

Goo! https://www.gamereactor.eu/blogs/Petter/444953/Goo/ https://www.gamereactor.eu/blogs/Petter/444953/Goo/

Ahh, Goo Goo has been visiting NPR Music to play a small Tiny Desk Concert and even though I haven't actively listened to this band in 20+ years, I really love Dizzy Up the Girl (1998). A fantastic FM rock record with several incredible, memorable, remarkable songs. In this unplugged concert they have with them an extra careless pianist who plays wrong 14 times during Slide (which they start with) and Rzeznik is a little slack sometimes, skipping some parts but still sounds good. I like the selection of songs too, Feel the Silence is superb and Iris is naturally self-written.
