The motorsport world is in shock after Friday's news that WRC champion Kalle Rovanperä has decided to retire as a WRC driver, leaving the sport. Considering that he just turned 25, this feels of course very surprising even if his lack of interest in Hancock's tires, the politics within his own team and FiA's rules on language have made him less and less "hungry" over the past year. Now, according to his own statement, he will focus on getting to Formula 1, which I really hope he succeeds in.

We found out a little over a month ago that the American gutter order Taco Bell is going to thump up restaurants in our elongated country and now we know where the first place will appear. Täby Centrum, Fjollträsk. As far as I know, I've only been to Täby Centrum once, to test drive a car, and I'll most likely never go there again - But since I (against my better knowledge) aalove Taco Bell's Crunchywrap Supreme, I'm looking forward to establishing myself in the north, too. Was it suffering. The opening will take place during the winter, 2025. That is, before the year is over.

I'm (exactly) almost 100 years old and yet (!) a few days ago I had never eaten lasagna soup, or yes - lasagna stew, it should probably be called. But-but... The culprit is going to wake up late and since I've been chasing good recipes for good, protein-rich food since I've gotten tired of ceasar chicken wraps, I had to make a lasagna soup a couple of days ago. I ground a kilo of prime rib in the grinder (finely ground), fried onions, garlic and carrots in olive oil. In with the minced meat, fry. Add tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, meat broth, thyme, pepper, salt, oregano, chopped parsley and chopped, sun-dried tomatoes. Simmer for an hour, then add a whole box of Philadelphia Light: Garlic & Herbs and a deciliter of milk. Mix. Break up a packet of lasagne sheets, put it in - let simmer for 15 minutes more. Done. Fast and delicious.

Few rock records appeal to me as much as Whitesnake's now 14 year old Forevermore. Not only do I consider it to be the band's best, I put it at the top together with the genre's finest, any day of the week. A modern super classic for a record . I love Forevermore and don't think I'm exaggerating if I say that I've listened through it 400 times by now and realize of course that Whitesnake anno 2011, was a real supergroup. Reb Beach (forever underrated) from Winger, Doug Aldrich (forever brilliant), Brian Tichy (forever two-prorated) from Pride & Glory and a Coverdale in top form, behind the mic. Today I'm watching this documentary and listening to this song.

I really hate Hublot. The posers' worst poseur watch brand and the only one that is poser-blingier and roastier than Gold-Rolex (on gold bracelet), in my world. Despite this, I simply have to crawl to the famous cross, take off my old man's hat, fold down my collar, roll up my sleeves and all that - because Hublot, in collaboration with Daniel Arsham (bullish modernism artist based in New York) has just shown a real killer. I really love the way it looks, recently announced  MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire and I like that they put in HUB1205, which seems to be a great piece (the Meca watch is ugly, but still mechanically super cool with its double main springs and its housing). Sure, this one is freaked out (he-he) but in the right way. Unique. Cool. 690 000 SEK is sweaty, though. 😂
