Rockstar Games Launcher gets new update with RDR2 release

There have been a few teething issues with the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, and now we've got several bug fixes.

The Rockstar Games Launcher was revealed ahead of the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, allowing fans to play several games including the acclaimed open-world title, but yesterday it got a brand new update to address a few niggles people have experienced.

As you can see in the changelog, there are several elements that have been tweaked, like fixing an error that said "the Rockstar Games Launcher failed to initialise", as well as another problem that caused the preload decryption to get stuck.

"The Rockstar Games Launcher exited unexpectedly" error message when playing Red Dead Redemption 2 should also be fixed, as well as another issue where it'd crash when launching from the Epic Games Launcher. Last but not least the problem with the launcher giving an error "Unable to launch game, please verify your game data" when launching Red Dead Redemption 2 from the Epic Games Launcher should be addressed too.

Have you got the game on PC?
