Rock Band settles suit

Viacom, EA and Gibson settle the score

According to Bloomberg Businessweek, Gibson have settled its lawsuit with Viacom and EA. The basis of the suit was a patent that Gibson filed in 1999, about using an instrument to play in a simulated concert. The Rock Band-creators, of course, didn't think that the patent and their game were similar enough.

How much money is involved in the settlement is unknown.
