Cococucumber has revealed that the Nintendo Switch version of their dungeon crawler Riverbond will be landing on December 10 with a new world and Spelunky-themed skin, both of which will be added to the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions as a free update.

You can play solo or co-op with up to four players, and there are plenty more crossovers other than Spelunky, including Shovel Knight, Raz Aquato from Psychonauts, and The Kid from Bastion.

"We're inspired by cooperative RPGs and classic action games of yesteryears and look forward to welcoming players with a wonderful and spirited adventure," said Vanessa Chia, Co-Founder and Art Director at Cococucumber.

"Riverbond marries the fast-paced action we're so nostalgic for with modern gameplay and drop-in-drop-out co-op and, giving friends and families dazzling new worlds to explore together on Nintendo Switch."

A 20% discount is also coming to coincide with the Switch launch, and you can check out a brand new trailer down below.

REVIEW. Written by Kerry-Lee Copsey

"It's certainly an enjoyable experience and would be a worthy choice for your next family game night, but single players should be wary."
