Rise & Shine now running on Nintendo Switch
Super Mega Team show footage of handheld mode and explains why there's no official announcement as of yet.
In just three days the Spanish, take some breath, Super Awesome Hyper Dimensional Mega Team, managed to get their beautiful action platformer Rise & Shine running on the Nintendo Switch. Earlier this week they showed some concern as to how the port would run using the Unity engine and thus they only had the title screen, but now they went back on Twitter to share some in-game footage.
After a couple of tweaks, they explain, they had the actual game running on a devkit they only got a couple of weeks ago. It's smooth and performs fine, but that doesn't mean it'll necessarily come to Nintendo's platform.
"It's not an official announcement of a port yet, as unfortunately, we need a small investment from our publisher to make it happen", the team answers Gamereactor España on Twitter. In other words, the ball is in Adult Swim Games' court, a publisher which already put Battle Chef Brigade on the Switch and will do so next with ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove.
