We already knew that Rise of the Tomb Raider will boast a number of improvements on Xbox One X (which have already been detailed), as it will offer not only the three visual modes seen on PlayStation 4 Pro, but as stated by Crystal Dynamics, "the highest fidelity version of Tomb Raider that's ever existed will be the Xbox One X version," as Aaron Greenberg of Xbox reminded us during our interview with him at Gamescom.

On top of this Digital Foundry has confirmed some of these facts for us, as the game does indeed run at real 4K and at 30FPS, along with high-resolution assets and an advanced textured filter that shows significant advancements over the PlayStation 4 Pro.

The so-called "enriched" view on Pro also sees the addition of superior effects, thanks to the same ultra resolution PC settings. Finally, there's a 60 frames-per-second mode too, with a resolution that should be 1080p and a constant fluidity in the demo shown at Gamescom 2017.

So, expect great things from the Xbox One X version of Rise of the Tomb Raider. Is this a game you'll be getting to go with your shiny new console?
