Ring of Elysium getting international esports competition
Next month Bangkok will host top teams from around the world, who will drop into the Europa Island map to compete for supremacy.
Ring of Elysium developer Aurora Studios has revealed that the battle royale game is getting its first international esports event taking place in Bangkok, Thailand next month, seeing 15 teams participate from North America, Europe, Thailand, China, and Taiwan.
The Europa Island map will host all of these players, and a 'boarding points' system will be used to score the competition. This combines your rank score (where you finish in the match, with five points going to first place, four for second, three for third, two from fourth to sixth, and one for the rest) with three points per player who can board the evacuation helicopter. Each kill is also worth two points as well, like we've seen with battle royale esports elsewhere.
There will be four TPP (third-person) and four FPP (first-person) games, and those are all the details we have from the press release. We're sure we'll get more soon, so for now stay tuned for information on the event.
Are you excited to see more esports for Ring of Elysium?
