We've dug something up on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Turns out it's a diamond in the rough!
It is often very easy to classify Nintendo as the Japanese giant which makes every game as accessible as possible to appeal to the whole family. Which could be interpreted as "safe and easy".
Project X Zone is a better fan service vanity project than it is a strategy RPG.
"Think of it as less a game, more a life choice. It's a twee game, but don't mistake it for a childish one. It's an addictive, warm-hearted title that deserves to be on your 3DS."
"Take one of the best and most complete platformers of the last decade, shrink it into the 3DS and add what the original was screaming for. Guaranteed success?"
"As with previous titles in the franchise, Lego City Undercover is a fun game. But unlike those that have went before, it's not a crazily entertaining one."
"This one of those rare games that will wrap you up completely in its world, and you will end up playing until your batteries run out."
"This is not a very original game. But it is a well crafted one, as we control a spaceship cleaning infected cells by zapping them out of existence."
"The original took under six hours to finish. Here? You can happily hit fifteen."
"It's a game built more for teams of adventurers than the lone wolf, as teamwork forestalls potential grind in tackling the boss fights."
"The more linear approach has its merits as this is a portable game, meant to be enjoyed in short bursts."
"Sticker Star is much more in line with the conventional core 2D series than you'd expect."
"This latest Lego adventure has certainly soaked itself in the RPG genre traditions."
"This is a fun, accessible and well-crafted racer that deserves your attention."
"Professor Layton takes up his first investigation on 3DS, but the successful formula remains unchanged. Then again, why should it? The concept works brilliantly."
Spyro and his Skylanders friends are joined by Giants this time around, but is the adventure as fun as the first time around?
"It is a near-impossible task for EA to satisfy all FIFA fans, but they should certainly be commended for making a wholehearted attempt."
"It's a very good game. A return to form for the series then, even if it doesn't go on to win the league."
"Surely Nintendo can't be calling this one in? Yet masterpieces need time to develop: eight months between releases doesn't bode well."
Another Kingdom Hearts spin-off sees the light of day as we patiently await the long overdue Kingdom Hearts III.
"A music rhythm game using Final Fantasy's fantastic soundtracks is far from a crazy idea, and comes heaped with nostalgia."

"It's got the improved level design, better puzzles, and the wonderful co-operative gameplay we've come to expect..."
