Retro City Rampage: DX is a "top-to-bottom" remaster of the original 2012 game from Vblank Entertainment, itself heavily influenced by the original top-down Grand Theft Auto games of yesteryear.

It's heading to PS3, PS4 and PS Vita and will be a cross-buy title. The new version of the game is launching across Europe on November 12, and will cost €7.99 (it'll also include the original version of the game).

New features include new zoom mode (for the Vita version, but available on all three), a dynamic camera, and a refined HUD. You can also expect different visual filters, including the "RETRO+" mode and a new "8-BIT" mode, offering a variety of different ways to experience the game visually.

Designer Brian Provinciano detailed all the changes on the PS Blog, saying: "DX is a top-to-bottom remastering of just about everything. For DX, every single mission's been re-tuned. Vehicles. Weapons. Challenges. Visual Effects. Visual Enhancements. Checkpoints. Difficulty. Challenges. From the game's core to sprinkles on top such as parking garages and waypoints, it's more than just a new coat of paint."
