Respawn unveils partner teams for Year 4 of the Apex Legends Global Series
12 organisations have been selected.
Apex Legends esports has been growing and continuing to thrive for years, so it should come as no surprise that Respawn is committing to the competitive scene. Ahead of the fourth year of the Apex Legends Global Series, Respawn has now announced 12 partner organisations who will likewise be committing to the professional scene and investing in its future.
The 12 teams are; Disguised, DarkZero, Alliance, XSET, TSM, FaZe Clan, Riddle, FURIA, Moist Esports, Optic Gaming, LG Chivas, and Fnatic.
We're told that these 12 teams will be provided with a financial stipend in order to build a competitive programme on, and that there will be additional media and content opportunities for these teams too, including media training, interviews with press, dedicated photo shoots, option to host licensed tournaments, and more.
As for why these 12 teams have been selected, Respawn notes: "The 12 teams ultimately selected were chosen based on a number of factors, including their commitment to the ALGS ecosystem, past competitive performance, and their overall willingness to continue partnering with us in new and interesting ways to grow the ALGS."
We'll be able to see the partnered teams in action when the ALGS Pro League returns on January 20.
