Capcom's episodic take on the Resident Evil series gets going today as the first of four planned instalments has landed, with the rest of the episodes will be released weekly hereafter.
However, there is some bad news if you were expecting to play the PC version of the game with a local co-op buddy. According to reports on the Steam message boards, the offline feature is not supported on PC (it is over on the console versions).
On top of that the game's Steam listing seems to be badly worded or plain contrary to Capcom's pre-release info.
Our assessment of the opening chapter will be appearing here on GR-UK very soon. In the meantime check out the release trailer and a fresh set of screens below.
Update: Capcom issued the following statement (via VG247): "The PC version of Resident Evil Revelations 2 supports a variety of customizable visual settings and resolutions.
"The decision to prioritize a single local screen was made to ensure a stable user experience across a variety of different PC settings and devices. Raid mode will support online co-op shortly after launch when a free patch is available for players to download which adds this feature, but the main campaign on PC will only be available to play in single local screen."
