Resident Evil fans have been talking about something called Project Resistance, which has been teased by Capcom ahead of the Tokyo Game Show, and now we have a brand new Gameplay Overview trailer to show us exactly what horror awaits in this take on the horror franchise.
The game revolves around a secret experiment in Raccoon City featuring four teenagers, and there's a Mastermind at play as well. It's a "4 vs 1 asymmetrical co-op experience", with the four survivors looking to escape by working together against zombies (gameplay looks rather similar to this year's Resident Evil 2 remake).
Each has their own unique skills to deploy as well, with Tyrone able to take reduced damage; Valerie healing teammates; Samuel using powerful melee attacks; and January disabling security cameras.
As the Mastermind, however, you'll use these cameras to place enemies in various rooms to impede the progress of the survivors, as well as other nefarious measures like killing the lights, setting traps, locking doors, attacking with camera-mounted weapons, controlling zombies directly, or even coming in as Mr. X himself to deal some major damage.
On the game's site you can find signups for an upcoming closed beta test, but for now are you convinced by this version of Resident Evil?
