Resident Evil 2 will get a remake and not a remaster

It appears that Capcom is not just remastering the Resident Evil 2, but rather they are remaking the whole thing from the ground up. This piece of information came from senior marketing director at Capcom UK Stuart Turner, who tweeted:

"Seems to be a few people picking up a mistranslation in our own investor report. RE2 will be a full from the ground up remake NOT a remaster"

This is really what has been assumed all along, as unlike the original Resident Evil or Resident Evil Zero there is no Gamecube version to work off, but instead they'd have try and scale up what is essentially a PSOne game (even if it has also seen release on other platforms).
